15 red 15,000
10 blue 50,000
5 green 25,000
5 black 125,000
50 total chips = 230,000 total chip value
Tables
There will be 4 tables of 10 players (still assuming 40 players) random seating.
Each table will have a difference of one player from any other table at all times.
If the number of players differs by 2 or more at any point the necessary number of players will be moved to a different table to equalize the numbers.
Once 25% of the players are eliminated, the tables will be condensed to 3. The seating will then be randomized again.
This will proceed until 50% of the players are eliminated condensing to 2 tables, then 75% condensing to one (FINAL) table.
Blinds
The blinds will start 1,000-2,000. The small blind will increase by 1,000 every 30 min.
So the blinds will be (1,000-2,000; 2,000-4,000; 3,000-6,000; 4,000-8,000; 5,000-10,000).
Once the blinds reach 5,000-10,000, the small blind will increase by 5,000 every 30 min.
So the blinds will then be (5,000-10,000; 10,000-20,000; 15,000-30,000; 20,000-40,000; 25,000-50,000)
Once the blinds have reached 25,000-50,000, the small blind will increase by 25,000 every 30 min.
After every 5th blind, the denominations will be condensed.
So once the blinds reach 5,000-10,000, we will remove all the 1,000 value chips by exchanging them for 5,000 chips, rounding off to the nearest 5,000.
If you do not understand this, it will be explained in more detail at the tournament.
Blinds will increase by 15 minutes when there are 5 players left.
Rules
Each player will receive an equal amount of chips. Once a player has no more chips they are eliminated. The order of qualifying will be based on number eliminated or chip stack in the case of a simultaneous elimination. Once one player obtains all the chips, the tournament is over.
Betting
All raises must be AT LEAST the value of the big blind. No chain betting.
Note: Most players in the tournament are familiar with the rules and will help guide newcomers. So as long as you know how to play hold’em poker, you should have no trouble.
